Department to spearhead efforts in developing countries to foster and expand
their music industries. After a trip to Sierra Leone in Africa this June,

Stock Crashes As Max Eider Release Looms

CUT AND RAN earlier this year when Augustus Pokerback, supremo of
Tundraducks Records, announced the signing of maverick solo artist,
founder member of the Jazz Butcher Conspiracy and guitarist
extraordinaire Max Eider. Eider's 'landmark' new album, Max Eider III:
Back in the Bedroom, is scheduled for release on October 1.
'It is a matter of record that Mr Eider's two previous solo releases
have been followed by the bankruptcy of the labels concerned,' admitted Pokerback in an exclusive interview with his home help. 'But Maximilian
has assured me that was just bad luck.
Comber releases debut album
For anyone naive enough to think releasing a full length album is a
rather simple endeavour, Consider the case of the Florida based band
Comber and the 8/14/07 release of their self-titled debut CD. All of the
music and lyrics were written by front man Craig Wildenradt, which took
a solid ten months to compose. A month was spent in the recording studio
and five months went into mixing and mastering the project. After the
work in the studio was complete, the band began performing live in
support of the release.
The Vehicle Reason releases debut CD, accepted into Atlantis Music Conference an
Longview,
Texas has long been a hotbed for country music artists. Ricky Lynn Gregg
had number one hits in the early 90's, Neal McCoy is still riding the
charts and new girl singer Sunny Sweeney, who recently landed a major
record deal in Nashville, all claim Longview as home.
The Vehicle Reason, a rock band from Longview, has given notice that
rock is alive and well in East Texas. The release of their debut CD,
"Odds On Occurrence," and the crowds they pull at their live gigs
demonstrates the impact this group is having on the pop/rock scene.
Lanterns Lit For New Star Travis Wernet
Travis
Wernet creates a sound quite unlike any other, exhibited beautifully on new
album Lanterns of Midnight. Multi-instrumentalist and transcender of genre
Wernet creates an acoustic soundscape, mixing didjeridu, Native American
flute, Tuvan-style vocals and an array of stringed instruments.
From the driving and trance-like 'Shimmer' (a song used in the acclaimed
Spanish documentary film Becoming Aware), to the ethereal, otherworldly
'Cloud Hidden', the album hits the listener on a deeply emotional level,
along with the pulsing rhythms of tracks like 'There's A Hole In My Earth'
and 'Heaven's Escalator'. Lanterns of Midnight is truly the sound of a poet
and musician's vision being fully realised.
