AFTER the phenomenal success of their latest album, ten-piece ska band REBELATION have been included on a new compilation album.

Members of ska and rocksteady outfit RebelationOnline community radio station Radio Gets Wild (RGW) has included the band’s 2005 track Reaching on its first album release, Around the World in 60 Minutes.

The interactive station, based in Gayton, features DJs and music from independent and unsigned musicians from around the world, and gives aspiring musicians of all genres the chance to showcase their talents.

Featuring rock, jazz and house music, the album aims to explore and introduce audiences to new musical genres. It has been released by record label World Domination Records, which has contracted RGW to release further albums over the next three years – with the guys already working on the next three instalments.

Featured track Reaching has been taken from Rebelation’s popular six-track mini-album Pounds and Pence, released on the Do the Dog label in October 2005. The good news follows the success of Rebelation’s latest album, State of the Union, released in April, which has been selling well.

Frontman Tony Devenish, of Lynn said: “It’s all good – being on the album means we get a bit more exposure. “The new album is doing really well and has received some fantastic reviews. It’s being played on the BBC, Radio One and even worldwide now.

“We’ve just come back from our UK tour, which we headlined, and it went brilliantly.” Rebelation are set to play Hunstanton’s Lifestyle Festival and Lynn’s Vancouver Festival later this month.
