Jokers Wild Band to Perform for Soldier's Angels
To date, the
volunteers of Soldiers Angels have sent tens of thousands of care
packages and hundreds of thousands of letters to our deployed
heroes; they have helped those who have been wounded with their First
Response Packs directly at the Combat and Support Hospitals (CASH) and
at the major hospital in Germany, as well as providing care and
comfort to those who are now in our military hospitals here at
home; they have provided aid to military families in need; they have
provided flights to soldiers on leave or in emergency situations and
to their families to be with their loved ones upon return from Iraq
and Afghanistan; they have provided level III KEVLAR Armor blankets to
provide our heroes with some protection in their vehicles when it was
needed; they help to honor the families whose loved ones have paid the
ultimate price for our freedom and safety. This and much, much more
has been accomplished by the many volunteers of this organization with
the assistance of their generous supporters on behalf of the grateful
citizens of the United States of America.
From its very inception, the focus of Soldiers' Angels has been:
Helping to bring home healthy soldiers. Their motto
is "May No Soldier Go Unloved."
Jokers Wild will donate a portion of all proceeds it receives from the downloading of its original songs, current single "Please Catch Me" and "And The Rain," to the Soldiers Angels Organization. Jokers Wild's music is available on iTunes.
"This show is going to be quite an honor for us," says Buck Thomas, "as several of the people associated with our band have prior or current military attachments. I myself am an Army Brat who was born in Tague, Korea, while my Father was stationed overseas. Our male lead singer, Mario Flores, lost an Uncle in Vietnam. Our bass player, Dave Clayton, has a Father that served his entire career with honor in the US military. Our lead guitarist, Dale Burch, currently has a Brother stationed in Iraq, and our Producer, Frank Lisenbee, is an active Chief Master Sergeant stationed at Lackland AFB. All of this to say "Jokers Wild supports our troops!" We hope to bless these soldiers with the love we express through our music! May God bless the USA
