December 4, 2009-New York, New York- Eddie Allen has been busy this year and what better way to conclude it than to release some holiday jazz. Allen is leading the way once again on Jazzy Brass For The Holidays which was recently released on DBCD November 3, 2009.

Joining Eddie on trumpet are Cecil Bridgewater (trumpet), Clark Gayton (trombone), Marshall Sealy (French horn), Kenny Davis (acoustic bass) and Carl Allen (drums and glockenspiel).

Every year at this time several releases coming flowing forth to capitalize on the Holidays marketing opportunities. With music you usually get the same standards done with a slightly different twist. Jazzy Brass For The Holidays gives you straight ahead contemporary instrumental jazz that swings and bops its way into your soul. The CD offers 14 tracks of holiday cheer with Eddie Allen’s unmistakable stamp on the compositions and stellar leadership.

All the tracks were recorded in less than a month, an amazing accomplishment considering how full Allen’s schedule is. Every individual track has a jazz focus yet the original melodies are preserved to remind you of the meaning of the holiday and the reason for celebrating it. Jazzy Brass For The Holidays is available on iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby and the Eddie Allen website.
