FTC ASKS COURT TO SHUT DOWN BURNLOUNGE |
COMBATING GLOBAL WARMING ONE MUSIC FESTIVAL AT A TIME |
On June 6, 2007, the FTC
filed a complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of
California against BurnLounge, Inc. The complaint charges that BurnLounge
sold opportunities to operate on-line digital music stores that was, in
fact, an illegal pyramid scheme. The agency is seeking a permanent halt to
the illegal pyramid practices as well as other illegal practices alleged in
the complaint. |
Global Inheritance targets
various subcultures with interactive programs that range from taking public
transportation, to recycling, to designing shirts that support important
environmental issues. The grass roots, non-profit organization strongly
believes the people of today's music culture acknowledge the importance of
the environmental issues addressed through their programs and will continue

encourages artists and labels representing all genres to submit music, which
can be done very easily through the website. Access to the Crucial Music
service to both artists submitting music and those seeking music for

The U.S. Department of
State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and mtvU, MTV's 24-hour
college network, announce the second search for Fulbright-mtvU Fellows.
Applications will be accepted from college students through October 19,
2007. |
The John Lennon Song
writing Contest is an international song writing contest that began in 1997
and is open to amateur and professional songwriters who submit entries in
any one of 12 categories. The JLSC is open year-round and features two
Sessions. Entries will be judged on originality, melody, composition, and
lyrics. Submission categories: Rock, Country, Jazz, Pop, World, Rhythm &
Blues, Hip Hop, Gospel/Inspirational, Latin, Electronic, Folk, and
Children's. Instrumental compositions are encouraged. Submission deadline:
