Las Vegas, Nevada--December 4, 2006-- Matt Cerbin, Larry Cox, Chris Rogers, and Howard Askeland are Deaf Symphony. They are metal-rock band with more than one purpose for their music.
Their second album Chains of Love focuses once again on their hard driving sound but they have some other important essentials that serve as a wake up call to listeners. The album’s compositions revolve around very real social issues that demand our attention, domestic violence. Deaf Symphony has aligned itself with National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV) to spread the word.
Music can be one of the most powerful tools of communication if used in the right way. Ironically, the music Deaf Symphony plays is normally associated with is violence reflected by crazed head bangers in mosh pits, partying, and otherwise carefree attitudes about life itself. Well, so much for stereotypes-Deaf Symphony breaks the mold and starts an entirely new trend for a metal band.
Their music features explosive rhythms and crunching fat guitar chords, everything metal heads love, with one exception, lyrics that make you stand up and take notice and compel you to take a stand on the issues at hand.
Make no mistake about it this is exciting music, and it is all about what makes the world go around-the people in it. Deaf Symphony is committed to its fans and the cause it supports by recording great albums that offer consistency, excellent musicianship, and above all, a strong message worth hearing. This music will stir your soul, make your heart beat faster, and have you counting your blessings for the life you have or help you find the one you seek.
