Hi I’m Kut heavy aka ant p.1st got into music way back growing up with my mum being into motown, disco, soul ,reggae me growing up through 80s ,90s with her etc. and my father being a great musician playing guitar, keyboards which he still does now and again but not out at the moment more for personal pleasure. Apparently my great grandfather was in a band. my grandfather was a pianist and jazz musician.

my Nan still rocking used to sing in a few clubs around so I’ve been told. my uncle Antony pipe who i miss also was a great guitar player and singer who used to jam with my dad through the years and out in the clubs in various bands, my real name being Anthony as well surname pipe. Used to enjoy dancing about in the house in the 80s, 90s which then i attended senior school where i met a great friend Mathew who introduced me to the rave scene listening to tapes etc. i got hooked.
then late 90s when I was 15 got my first belt drive decks and just began trying to beat match in my bedroom. house, hardcore, jungle which my uncle my mums brother also having been a dj told me how to mix on the snare 2nd beat.

1999 got my hands on a pair of technics 1200s sold to me by a guy going by the name of Pablo d groove, who introduced me to actually playing out in Kettering at the cotton club where I met some great guys, won’t mention any real names, who taught me a lot.
Yes I couldn’t actually drive at this point so used to be driven around by pablo and then kindly by the first real true love of my life. Again not mentioning any names.

Since 2000 just birthdays and house party’s really. Now a big fan of dnb and house still buying the odd piece of vinyl. But wave, mp3, seems to be the way forward now which is great.

Finally must show a great deal of respect to a man who’s given me a direction and goes by the name of BDS the drunken master, who I used to work and has shown me the light.(RGW!)
