The Platinum Age Of The Remix Is The New Album By The G-Man

On "The Platinum Age of the Remix," top artists from the EU and USA give the royal remix treatment to 12 G-Man tunes that are already dance-worthy and chart-topping.

Remixers:
* Matt Forger. Mr. Forger's name appears on more than 200,000,000 units sold. As producer and engineer, he has worked with Michael Jackson, Giorgio Moroder, Keith Forsey, Harold Faltermeyer, Quincy Jones, Rod Temperton, Bruce Swedien, Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, Van Halen, Phil Ramone, and David Foster.

* F. Troy. The mysterious and ultra-underground F. Troy is a member of Mortal Loom, the CMJ-charting electronic band. His remixes are so successful, it has been noted that if you were in a club from the 80's on, you have heard the work of F. Troy.

* RD (Random Distribution), whose real name is Serge Minko, has taken his place as one of the most-respected creators of progressive trance and electronic music in Russia. His 2002 remix of The G-Man's "Shari V" went straight to #1 on a Russian dance chart.

* William Morosi. Classically-trained but a jazz improviser, pianist William Morosi has played with orchestras, chamber ensembles, operatic groups, solo artists, and jazz groups of every size. In remixing The G-Man songs, Morosi brings a style that might be called "George Duke on acid" or perhaps "in-the-pocket grooves bounced waaaaaaaaaay out there."

* DJ Insane. "I play dance music with harder, solid oldskool basskicks, sharp synthesizer sounds and blood-rising rhythms," states DJ Insane. His 2002 remix of The G-Man's "Touch When You Dance" reached #5 on an EU dance chart.

Scott G, who records under the name The G-Man, has three albums on Delvian Records, two released (GRIN GROOVE and ELECTRO BOP) with another scheduled for release later in 2004. The G-Man's music is played on college radio and in clubs around the globe. Creator of a new genre of beat-oriented music called grin groove, The G-Man's material has been called "Moby meets Bowie" (by producer Pete Anderson), "Moby meets Devo" (by TV producer Paul Rich), and "The rhythm of machines with melodies of the heart" (by music writer Janis Amy).

Fore Reel Entertainment & MusicDish Network To Raise Breast Cancer Awareness

Independent record label Fore Reel Entertainment and music industry magazine MusicDish announced that they would launch a massive online campaign in support of "Music For The Cure: It's About Eve". The purpose of the CD is to promote Breast Cancer Awareness to young women and support indie female artists with 100% of net proceeds going to benefit The TJ Martell Foundation, The Libby Ross Foundation and The Comedy Cures Foundation.

"I was drawn to MusicDish through the Internet presence that they have provided various artists I have been tracking," said Hernando Courtright, co-President of Fore Reel Entertainment. "It affords an artist or indie label an alternative promotional campaign that would be time consuming to pursue without the network that MusicDish provide."

The compilation CD spotlights thirteen indie female artists and features Joan Jett on the bonus track "The Word" (Lennon and McCartney). The group Lava Baby was picked up by Liquid Eight/BMG as a result of the CD. The CD received an Album Spotlight Pick and a feature article in Billboard magazine.

DEMO Forecasts Online Music Business Belongs To Independents

The DEMO Report 2004 forecasts that--The future of the online music business does not belong to the major labels; it belongs to the true independents.

For the very first time in music business history, the recording artists can have total control over their creative works and, at the same time, have a direct and interactive connection with music fans from around the world.

Even though the United States of America is currently leading the world in online music sales, it is Europe who will be the eventual and perennial world leader in online music sales for many decades to come. No one company, or hand-full of companies, will control Europe; rather, she will have several different major players in each country and hundreds of thousands of independent musicians collectively outselling the majors. Unlike North America, Europe will also offer a greater selection of genres and subgenres of music, not only from their own continent but from around the

X-Rated Super Bowl Stunt By RIAA Member-Label Artist Leaves Orrin Hatch Exposed

Las Vegas-based Webcaster Alliance launched a new round of attacks against Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch today and is urging Americans to hold the Senator accountable for misleading claims about pornography on P2P networks while at the same time protecting the special interests of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The Senator recently introduced the Enhancing Federal Obscenity Reporting and Copyright Enforcement Act of 2003 (the EnFORCE Act), which requires the Department of Justice to, "report to Congress detailed information about the scope of its efforts to investigate and prosecute crimes involving the sexual exploitation of minors or intellectual property."

Webcaster Alliance contends the EnFORCE Act has little if anything to do with protecting children or enhancing obscenity reporting. Instead, the organization believes it is simply another deal designed by Orrin Hatch, specifically to expand exemptions intended to protect the RIAA from legitimate legal claims of monopolistic, anticompetitive behavior.

"In light of the disgusting display during the Halftime show of the Super Bowl, I think it is outrageous for Senator Hatch to maintain his support of the RIAA, while continuing to espouse the evils of P2P networks," said Ann Gabriel, President of Webcaster Alliance.
