DJ Wally & DJ Rocking Dave hosted The Marathon Party show

Alison and Harry of The Manner House stepped in at the last moment to rescue this event from certain disaster after bureaucracy prevented it from proceeding on the Middlefield Road Green, as advertised.

There was a great party atmosphere with music and the usual fun banter between Wally and Rocking Dave. A steady stream of visitors attended throughout the show making full use of the facilities of the house. Not only did Alison and Harry allow access to the ballroom, bar area and sumptuous grounds of The Manor House, they also extended their hospitality to the use of the large outdoor swimming pool and barbeque for those that brought food requiring heating.

 

It was estimated that the show attracted approximately 70 guests, some of which got to speak live on air. Many of the guests remained after the end of the live show, partying away into the earlier evening.

Show featured live acts, something rarely before heard on RGW, that included The Pink Chics on the left, Colette on the right and a duet between DJ Wally and wife, Jan the Legend. Colette sang a couple of well known covers before surprising the guests with a brand new track of her own called ‘Strong’. This was very well received by the audience and RGW listeners tuned in around the world.
