Indie News NEWS FROM THE CASTLE

First of all, Dorian and I would to express our heartfelt thanks and prayers to all of the military personnel serving around the world. It is through their selfless service and the thousands before them, that we are able to write, perform and record our music. May God bless you all and keep you safe from harm. Allow me to apologize for the lack of a newsletter in the month of May. Nothing would have made me happier than to write one but an extended delay in receiving the demo (7 weeks) made everything grind to a screeching halt. But alas, the wait is over. We now have the demo in hand and will be sharing it with everyone who desires to listen to the music and some who don’t.

Now on to recent events and occurrences:

This month’s motto: Listen to the music……..EVERYONE

For all you fans living in the Harrisburg, PA area Dorian will be in town for 10 days beginning tomorrow June 23rd. We are meeting with a few industry people and performing a live interview. Specifics will be provided as the are established for those of you who are interested. Give us a call or stop by. You might even get an autographed copy of the demo.

Speaking of the demo, special thanks go out to those who helped complete the demo and hopefully will assist us in finishing the CD. Specifically they are CARY PARK, guitarist, google Cary’s name and tale a look at all this man has accomplished, HARLAN SPECTOR, organist, yet another highly accomplished musician, STEPHEN “V” VILLANEUVA, owner of Castle Studios and the producer of the demo, DAVEY “BIG D” DUKE, sound engineer extraordinaire, SHARON K, for her stellar background vocals and last but not least, our better halves JOYCE and SHARON who tolerated our long absences and grumpiness after the 12 – 14 hour studio sessions. Dorian and I THANK YOU for your participation and efforts and wish all of you the best life has to offer. We hope to see all of you very soon.

A short time ago Dorian was interviewed on Radio Gets Wild by DJ Dee co hosted with Gaz.Reynolds I hope everyone had a chance to catch the interview. We are making plans to do this again and are working with station founder Tim Daymond to that end. A BIG THANK YOU to TIM, DEE, GAZ, KIMMY, BLUE LOTUS and MrsStreeKR for their tremendous support. RGW has been one of our strongest supporters and we encourage everyone to register and listen to RGW (www.radiogetswild.com). By the way, they continue to seek on air talent. So if you think you could be a DJ this might be your opportunity. Remember, you do this from the comfort of your own home.

Just this week, Jerry from Bumpskey Internet Radio, www.bumpskey.com (heard at www.live365.com) warmly received “This Dream I Made for You” and added it to his current airplay mix. Jerry is one of those DJs truly dedicated to playing the music of Indie Artists. Our eternal thanks go out to Jerry for taking the time to provide exposure for our music. Please listen to and promote Jerry’s efforts and the Bumpskey Internet Radio Station.

Over the last few weeks I have distributed over 400 copies of the demo. There are plans to send out 180 more to radio stations throughout the world. Anyone who has a contact in the industry who could assist us in getting the music heard, I’d love to hear from you. But you don’t have to be in the industry to want a copy. If you need one let me know.

Our ongoing relationship with TAXI, www.taxi.com, an independent A & R (Artist & Repertoire) company has taken a positive turn. “The Band” was recently forwarded to a music publishing company. We await their response with positive and happy thoughts.

We continue to upload new music to www.broadjam.com. There are literally thousands of indie songs out there that you can listen to and review. Take a look at the website and add Dorian to your favorites list. If enough of us do this we will be added to their homepage.

Don’t forget to visit the website www.doriancastle.com. The fan club is starting to build and Dorian will soon be placing several new tunes on the music page. Get out there and take a look and a listen. Don’t forget to sign the guestbook if you haven’t and invite your friends to do the same. We love the input from those who take the time to listen to the music.

AGAIN, THANK YOU FOR YOUR LOVE AND SUPPORT. IT IS PRICELESS TO US AND BREATHS LIFE INTO DORIANS MUSIC.
