RGW
award winning singer-songwriter Glyn Bailey makes his first appearance at
Manchester’s Dry Bar on March 7th.
Bailey, (described as a kindred spirit of our best mavericks by former Sounds journalist Tim Peacock) played in bands including The Urbane Gorillas and Harvey’s Wall of Sound in the 90s, releasing a series of independent records on their ‘Inane Records’ label.
In 2004 some production work with The Container Drivers featured on BBC Radio 1’s John Peel show.
The Dry Bar date kicks off a tour supporting the release of Bailey’s debut album TOYS FROM BALSA, which features an eclectic mix of subjects including a communist feast, plastic bags, cannibalism, abusive relationships, Laurel & Hardy and a bonus track about John & Yoko in bed.

The self-released album has
been receiving excellent reviews from the independent media, on-line reviewers
