Culver City, CA-August 18, 2010-Marshall Blonstein’s Audio Fidelity is one of the world’s recognized leaders in limited edition high fidelity sound releases. With the recent release of the all time Kate Bush classic Hounds of Love on 180 gram marbleized virgin vinyl specially remastered for the LP, their catalog just became more enticing to music lovers and collectors alike.
Hounds of Love was Bush’s most successful studio album and her most successful worldwide. The legendary art rock masterpiece is a two-part album consisting of the suites "Hounds of Love" and "The Ninth Wave." The expertly crafted production features the many influences of the eclectic vocalist. The wellspring of influences and styles on Hounds of Love range from Celtic to Middle Eastern with a distinct mastery of rock and pop-giving the listener an assortment of ballads and hard rockers to enjoy.
Her own influence was realized through the release and a huge breakthrough into the American charts with the Top 40 hit "Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)" as well as two other U.K. Top 20 singles, "Cloudbusting" and the title track. The album also yielded a set of videos, the most famous of which is "Cloudbusting" co-starring Donald Sutherland.
"...It is not just her masterpiece; it is a masterpiece by any measure."
It seemed only fitting the Audio Fidelity chose Hounds of Love as one their specially remastered releases on 180 gram virgin vinyl lavishly presented in its original gatefold album sleeve complete with lyrics. Besides the typical excellent remastered Audio Fidelity sound, collectors get the added bonuses of a limited edition numbered run of the release in attractive marbleized vinyl. The label took careful exception to insure the album was remastered and reproduced to perfection. One spin of the platter proves that without any doubt.
Lovers of great music, collectable vinyl, and just good music in general presented as it was prior to the age of CDs will appreciate this release. Hounds of Love sounds as vital today as it did when it was released in 1985 and Audio Fidelity represents the release in outstanding fashion.
