The series returns to find the residents of Wisteria Lane trying to keep the book closed on some of their most scandalous secrets to date. From tangled love lives to faked pregnancies, blackmail and espionage, the ladies of the Lane struggle to keep their private-lives private.

Series four introduces brand new character to the show, Katherine Mayfair (Dana Delaney). An ex-resident of Wisteria Lane, Katherine returns with her teenage daughter Dylan (Lyndsy Fonseca) and her husband Adam (Nathan Fillian) in tow. It's not long before Katherine has made her presence known by feuding with the other wives. Can she really be as obstinate as she seems, or is she hiding something?

By the end of the series, one wife will have lost a husband, another will have lost her lover and all of them will have lost a friend.
