Teenage trio in £1m movie drive
They want to make an adaptation of Clovis Dardentor, a relatively
unknown novel by French author Jules Verne.
But to do so they reckon they need £1m and so have set up a website where
members of the public are invited to buy credits for £1. In return investors
will be credited at the end of the feature film.
Clovis Dardentor, written in 1896 by the author of Around the
World in Eighty Days tells the story of two young cousins who try to save
the life of a rich industrialist in order to claim his fortune.
Adrian Bliss told Web User that the project is currently at the
storyboarding stage at the Elstree Studios.
Bliss said that outside of Hollywood "it is very, very difficult for people"
to raise money to make movies and that is why they set up the 'buyacredit'
scheme.
So far they have raised £2,500 since the website was launched in May but Bliss
said they are determined to reach the million pound mark.
