Bob Burger among Jersey based musicians to support Bridges Of Peace at the “Jersey Shore Jam” Benefit Concert Neptune, NJ (Phantom Power Productions) September 17, 2008 – A compilation of Jersey based musicians have come together in support of Bridges of Peace, an inclusive organization who invites everyone to get involved with its missions. On Sunday, November, 23 2008, Bridges of Peace will host the “Jersey Shore Jam” Benefit Concert to benefit the establishment of Beth Miriam, a House of Hospitality in Jersey City and to aid the "Help a Child Through a Soldier" Drive Project which supports the troops and children whose lives have been adversely affected by the wars in Iraq and The Middle East. The “Jersey Shore Jam” Benefit Concert will take place at The Headliner Club in Neptu ne, New Jersey at 35 Highway 5 from 3PM – 8PM.

Artists signed on as of date include Bob Burger, Boccigalupe and the Bad Boys, The Intentions, Ray Korona, The Rock n' Roll Chorus and more!

Part of the proceeds from the concert will be donated to Beth Miriam, to assist in establishing a “House of Hospitality” in Jersey City, New Jersey. The House of Hospitality will serve women of all denominations throughout the state who are being released from prison. The goal will be to provide a safe and loving environment where they can learn how to become productive members of society.

There will also be a Bridges of Peace “Help a Child Through a Soldier” drive taking place at the concert. Bridges of Peace will be collecting stuffed toys and other items that will be sent to Iraq. They will be distributed to Iraqi children by our US Service men and women, helping to build a “Bridge of Peace” between our armed forces and the children of Iraq.

"Our goal is for this project to grow nationwide. It started here in Sayreville in 2004 and still continues. We hope that more people will volunteer to help the children through our soldiers, says Sgt. Robert Bruce stationed in Diyala Province, Iraq. Sgt. Bruce is a Sayreville police officer and a Bridges of Peace Board of Director currently in Iraq since January of this year within the Civil Affairs Company. He has asked Bridges of Peace to send his company items through the "Help a Child through a Soldier" Drive.

“From the lyrics of ‘Toys for Peace,’ a song written for this project by Pete Seeger and Ray Korona: When you make a child smile, you build a bridge to Peace…

"That is our goal, but we'd like to add make the children and the soldiers smile!

"This is a Humanitarian effort. We ask our nation’s families to help build bridges of peace,“ says Sgt. Bruce.

Bridges of Peace is a 501(C) 3 Nonprofit Charity Organization. EIN/tax ID number: 20-055-2821.
