He's recorded 6 cd's of original music, played through a zillion singer-songwriter hangs and venues and has been living in Woodstock for the last 8 years.
1. What's your favorite iPod track this week Hello Love by Michael Veitch 2. Have you seen any great live shows lately? Graham Parker playing down at the local coffeehouse Richard Thompson at the Town Hall in NYC Danny O'Keefe in Houston 3. Have you played any great live shows lately? Played my home town in Vermont for a fundraiser for the new local radio station WOOL which was great fun 4. What's the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to you on stage? Completely blanked on what I was singing and had to stop and start it over-twice-eventually gave up on that one. 5. What is your guilty pleasure band? Spinal Tap 6. What was the first concert you ever attended? Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention at Putney College in VT. It was supposed to be the Youngblood's but they canceled and there was Frank w/ Flo and Eddie etc. A wild time! 7. What gets you up in the morning? Olivia, my 15 year old cat wanting to be fed. 8. If you could create your own fantasy music festival, who would the top 6 headliners be? The Beatles ( any period), The Stones 60's vintage, Van Morrison, The Beach Boys 60's vintage, Lucinda Williams, Hank Williams. 9. What can we expect from Michael Veitch? Am working on a garage band project with my original group of high school mates "The Secrets." More touring in 2008-2009. 10. What's the concept behind your album? Try to write a batch of the best songs I can come up with, drawing from personal experiences and paying homage to many of my influences - see fantasy festival. Take plenty of time to record it and get it right. Find success co-writing for the first time which I've always found difficult. 11. What musician did you model yourself after? A cross between Van Morrison, Brian Wilson, John Lennon and Keith Richards/Chuck Berry with a bit of James Taylor thrown in for good measure. 12. Who are your biggest influences? See fantasy festival 13. If aliens landed and said "take me to your leader", who would you introduce them to? Zoë, my corgi.
