Troubled Wine, a trio of hard-rockers from Palmerton, Pennsylvania, release their self-titled debut album.

Inspired by the riotous 'hair rock' bands of the 80s such as Whitesnake, Jackyl, Motley Crue and AC/DC, Troubled Wine produce a sound to ensure the spirit of rock marches on. Their music sets the tempo and lifts the spirit, but most of all, rocks hard.

The excitement of a Troubled Wine concert is incredible. Taking inspiration from their heroes of rock, they put on an electrifying live show to send goose bumps down your spine. Their new album sees them translate their exhilarating energy into the studio, with a spectacular, heavy rock sound the result.

Troubled Wine are George Strohl on vocals and guitar, Todd Frohnheiser on bass and Jim Dunkle on drums. But the road to their current line-up has been a long and changing one. Strohl says: "In the beginning, there were four of us. We weren't close but knew about each other's musical interests. We got together to start a band in 1989 called Tongue N Groove. We played popular 80s rock, dabbled with songwriting and recorded a very crude seven-song cassette of original material. We continued this way until 1998".

It wasn't until 2000 that the current line-up settled, and set about making serious rock music, resulting in their debut, a thrilling collection of original songs and a homage to the 80s rock acts that inspired them. With tracks such as Come N Rock Hard, Be Still My Dirty Mind, Swamp Law Rules and Can't Live Without Em, their new album will appeal to rock fans worldwide.

Troubled Wine's philosophy can be summed up by Strohl, who says: "We try to keep it simple. We believe most people just want to blow off some steam. Some harmless, rockin' fun."
