Tony Miles (27), of Bridge Road, has been with the station – Radio Gets Wild – for two months and covers the Wednesday and Sunday slots, from 9am to noon.
One of around 50 volunteer DJs worldwide, for the marathon he was moved to the 2pm to 4pm slot on Wednesday.
Internet station RGW, which broadcasts around the world, started its longest marathon at 6pm on Tuesday and aims to run through until at least Sunday.
RGW founder Tim Daymond hopes the marathon will increase the profile of the station and enable it to run round the clock in the very near future.
Launched in 1999, the Lynn station currently runs daily from around 7am to 6pm.
Although only with the station for a relatively short time, Tony already knows plenty about radio having worked for hospital radio for the last five years and taken part in the unsuccessful bid to get a licence for a local Fakenham station.
But he said the experience of working for an Internet station has been an eye-opener.
"It's been absolutely brilliant. It's going out all over the world and you're generally handing over to someone in another country – I handed over to a DJ from Japan last week."
Aiming to appeal to as wide an audience as possible he plays everything from '60s classics to songs currently in the charts.
He also aims to mix in material by unsigned artists to help give their music airplay and felt that role was very important for local musicians.
To listen to the rest of the broadcast, find out about the station or having material played on air, go to the RGW site at www.radiogetswild.com
