The Milky Way is a barred spiral galaxy that is part of the Local Group of galaxies. Although the Milky Way is one of billions of galaxies in the observable universe,[4] its special significance to humanity is that it is the home galaxy of our Solar System. The plane of the Milky Way galaxy is visible from Earth as a band of light in the night sky, and it is the appearance of this band of light which has inspired the name for our galaxy. It is extremely difficult to define the age at which the Milky Way formed, but the age of the oldest star in the Galaxy yet discovered, HE 1523-0901, is estimated to be about 13.2 billion years, nearly as old as the Universe itself. -Source: Wikipedia.

Rising Online Radio Show Joins Forces With Radio Gets Wild!

Extreme to Serene, the budding online radio show announced this week that they’re to be added to the rosters of the legendary online host Radio Gets Wild and Independent London host Recharged Radio.

The show, hosted by British Publicist Tom Brumpton & American Composer George Woods originally began streaming through BlogTalkRadio in November 2009 and quickly gained a growing fanbase. However after recent talks with both Recharged & R.G.W, it was announced that both were interested in the show and have agreed to add it to their respective rosters.

Tom Brumpton has stated “It’s a pleasure to be working with them both. George and I have put a great deal of time and effort into getting Extreme to Serene to the level it’s at now, but in order to reach a wider audience we always knew we’d need to work with people that know the ropes better than us. And this is something we’re confident in with RGW and Recharged.”

ETS have made a name for there bizarre story telling and great diversity in musical choice, with their selections ranging from hard rock to pop, to folk and singer songwriters through to electronica artists and jazz fusion. Aside from this, the pair offer independent journalism that aims specifically towards budding artists seeking both advice and airplay.

“The music industry is changing. Be it the way record labels are releasing albums, or the fact that big companies like the BBC are currently getting rid of music-specific shows; it’s all proof that ultimately the industry will eventually go back to being a lot more grassroots. It’s an idea that we as a show are quite happy to promote and be a part of.” reasons Tom.

The show will go live from Radio Gets Wild on Thursday nights from 1800hrs GMT to 1900hrs GMT from www.radiogetswild.com and on Recharged Radio from 1900hrs GMT to 2000hrs GMT every Saturday from www.rechargedradio.com

If you represent a band and are interesting in getting your music covered on Extreme to Serene, both Tom & George can be contacted at extreme2serene@gmail.com.
