Mexican-American Quimera, began singing and playing Castanets in childhood, but it was not until 2007 that she decided to do it professionally. By the fall of 2007, she was working full force on her music. In January 2008, Quimera recorded the vocals for what was to become her first single, and in February 2008 Beneath It All was released, debuting at National Caravaca Radio in Spain. In April, her second single called Love Eternal released, followed by Revolution in May. Revolution is being hailed as Quimera’s solid step to establishing her own recognizable sound, which she describes as closest to ‘Symphonic Goth’ a mix of Epic sounds, narcotic voices and symphonic chants and rhythms.

The release of Revolution was followed by Fire Rhapsody, Don’t You Give Up, Pray and Illusionist; attracting positive media attention from music critics and magazines like Cratertech and Newsound, establishing Quimera as a serious new artist in the music scene. Quimera reaches her audience deep in their hearts with her, sometimes warm and soft, sometimes aggressive and moving voice; no matter if she is singing live or on one of her recorded songs. Her haunting and awe inspiring vocals create soundscapes to lose ourselves for a while. Undoubtedly, Jessyca has mastered the art of being powerful and sublime at the same time.

In November 2008, Quimera’s music begun radio play in Holland, at Radio Dance Mania and the United Kingdom at Radio Gets Wild, in addition to Caravaca Radio in Spain, where she is already becoming a household name. Quimera is a special performing guest at the 2009 Break Through Artist Festival in Valencia, Spain. Noteworthy accomplishments if you consider that Quimera is an artist who is yet to be signed by a music label. Illusionist is the last single that will be previewed, prior to the official release of her debut album titled Beneath It All, scheduled for January 2009. The rest, as they say, is a story yet to be written.
